GoodReader for iOS

GoodReader is an application for iOS designed for a simple purpose: viewing and annotating a diverse range of files, ranging from PDF to plain text. Its power lies in its simple but elegant design, which includes one of the cleanest, most intuitive file-management systems available on iOS. For five dollars, this app extends the functionality of the iPad far beyond its expected purposes: the iPad suddenly becomes a platform for annotating PDF files, while simultaneously providing a better reading experience.

How does a file management system pair with annotation tools? Consider that the iPad now supplants my lecture notes; I still use the conventional paper and pen method, but the iPad allows me to wrote down asides (such as highlighting exam-relevant material) without introducing discontinuities to my notes. Those who wield PDF files on a daily basis will find the annotation tools and organisation offered by GoodReader indispensable: I don’t know why they called it GoodReader. Perhaps GreatReader or even AwesomeProReader might be more approriate a name for this useful utility.
