Eight years is a long time for a phone, I usually switch every two to three years. If I read it correctly you have excluded data or mb’s from your plan. It’s the trend that communications on mobile phones move towards whatsapp and such services, letting go of sms. Will you be prepared for the coming eight years without data:p

I’ve signed a two year term, but where I am, the Shaw-Go WiFi program has been implemented, giving me access to Internet in most places. I imagine this will do the trick, but I can always upgrade my plan if required 😉

I got my wife a 925 and eventually for me too. I don’t think i needed the 1020’s 41mp so I am settling to the next best wp8. 😀

That’s good to hear: my service provider doesn’t stock the 925 for whatever reason, and was out of stock for the 920. I might or might not upgrade depending on how I use the current phone, though, and the 1020 is the way to go, though that 41 megapixel camera sets it well above even some standalone cameras out there now, so I’m curious to see what that will be like.

yeah i agree. 1020 would be great especially for bloggers like ‘us’. I just didn’t feel the need for a really great camera. Surely, HD video would be fun.

That reminds me of when I brought in my flip phone to be upgraded to an iphone. The customer service rep said: “That’s one hell of an upgrade!”
